Mama Bear's Demise

This photograph tells a sad story, that depicts the worst case scenario of what can happen when sticking one's nose where it doesn't belong. This bear had it's head stuck in the hole of a tree stump. It was found dead. The wildlife services in this area stated that they had never seen or heard of anything like this before. They had to saw through the stump to free the body of the bear. The hole in the tree was 6"x 5 1/2". Sad story, especially because it was determined that this was a mama bear that had milk. No signs yet of her cubs. They are still searching in hopes of finding them. Let's hope they do.
