I live in the mountainous region of West Virginia, and when we have a dry summer such as we are having this summer, the timber rattle snake comes down from his usual habitat high in the mountains, to the lower regions in search of water. I've seen my fair share of them this summer. This post is for those of you who've never heard the sound of a rattle snake, and perhaps have never even seen a rattle snake before.
